As Unicron and Primus went about their appointed task, venturing through the cosmos, it became apparent to Primus that Unicron was a corrupt being, and he took it upon himself to stop the threat posed to all of existence by his sibling. They were brothers sent to explore the universe together. The exact backstory of Unicron in multiple versions of Transformers mythology has often shifted is he a cosmic force representing evil itself, created at the Primus went on to become the planet Cybertron, and grew new life in the form of Transformers; Unicron eventually learned to transform his planet form into a giant robot form using the energy from consumed planets, and went on to become the scourge of the multiverse.
